What Actually Affects Window Blind Prices (and What Does Not)

Size, cloth, and coverage. Everything else on the brochure is a story.
Blinds pricing is unusually honest once you know what moves it. Four things do; almost everything else in a quote is packaging.
The four levers
- Measured area. Width × height in feet, with a 10 sq ft minimum billable area per blind — the floor is why tiny windows surprise people
- Fabric grade. The single biggest spread: roller fabrics run ₹100–₹250/sq ft in our 2026 range, and the same window in an entry cloth and a premium collection differs by more than double
- Mechanism. Standard chain is inside the rate. Motorisation adds roughly ₹3,000–₹6,500 per window
- Coverage hardware. Outside mount with overlap, side channels, cassettes — chosen when the room needs real darkness or the recess is shallow
What does not affect the price
- Showroom polish. A marble floor does not change the cloth; manufacturer-owned outlets skip the reseller margin instead of adding it — see the differences in the rate table
- "Imported" as a prefix — ask which mill and which openness factor instead
- Seasonal offers that end Friday — honest makers publish a stable card; ours is public
Putting the levers to work
Cheapest sensible home: standard fabrics on service windows, one step up on the two windows you look at most, blackout where sleep matters. Same footprint, better money. A 4×5 ft window illustrates the whole game — roughly ₹2,000–₹2,600 across most roller fabrics, ₹2,400–₹3,800 in zebra, higher only when the cloth or the hardware earns it. Price your own sizes on the roller and zebra pages; every line the quote is assembled from is visible before checkout.
