PVC Bathroom Blinds: Waterproof Blinds for Wet Rooms

Steam, splashes and soap — the bathroom is where cheap blinds go to die.
Bathrooms destroy the wrong blind in a year: steam curls wooden slats, damp rusts aluminium ladder tape, and fabric grows mildew in the folds. PVC bathroom blinds are the exception — the material is effectively waterproof.
Why PVC wins the bathroom
- Waterproof: splashes wipe off; steam condenses and evaporates without soaking in
- Mould-resistant: nothing organic for mildew to feed on
- Wipe-clean: damp cloth and mild soap — the same routine in the cleaning guide
- Budget-friendly: PVC sits in the lower price tiers, below wooden and honeycomb
Roller vs vertical vs venetian for bathrooms
- PVC roller blind: the default — flat, wipeable, fits small bathroom windows neatly
- PVC vertical blinds: for taller bathroom windows and doors, louvres can be angled for privacy-with-light
- PVC venetians: precise tilt for street-facing bathrooms (full comparison in the venetian guide)
Privacy: the bathroom's real requirement
Bathrooms need privacy more than darkness. A semi-opaque PVC fabric hides silhouettes while keeping the room bright; blackout PVC suits bathrooms attached to bedrooms. For street-facing windows, choose a fabric you cannot see through from outside at night — hold it to a lamp before ordering.
Sizing bathroom windows
Bathroom windows run small — most bill at the 10 sq ft minimum per window, so the price is effectively per window. Measure the recess in three places per the measuring guide, or use the AR tool to get the quote per window
